Nicky is in trouble

She (and her husband Kenneth Petty) were ordered by a court to pay a security guard Thomas Weidenmuller about US $500,000 after the guard sued them over an alleged backstage assault.

The allegations: the assault reportedly happened after a 2019 concert in Frankfurt, Germany. Weidenmuller claims that Petty punched him in the face, breaking his jaw.

Because Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty didn’t respond to the lawsuit, a “default judgment” was entered — which means the court ruled in favor of the plaintiff (the security guard) automatically.

• The amount awarded was roughly $503,318 (some sources round it to “about $500,000”).
